Managing director
Mat founded MF & Associates to deliver and work in a way that resonated with his core values. He believes in working with integrity and trust, to deliver good work and make a real difference.
Mat enjoys helping value-based organisations to grow the culture they need to succeed. He has demonstrated the ability to lead organisations and people through challenging times, to build businesses across sectors.
Mat is driven by purpose and passion, not only to exceed client expectations but to foster a collaborative, supportive and diverse culture. Approaching every engagement with an open mind and curiosity to avoid narrow-minded thinking to bring a fresh approach to consulting.
He has worked hard to ensure MF & Associates supports everyone.
Meet the MF & Associates team
Laura O'Neil
Laura is an experienced, award-winning cybersecurity consultant who has led and grown multi-disciplinary cyber teams in the private and public sector.
Laura has a deep understanding of the Information Security Manual and the National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework. She specialises in governance, risk and compliance, strategy development, and business transformation activities.
At MF & Associates we believe in supporting the skills, knowledge and experiences of our people, and the teams we work with. Laura leads the Cybersecurity practice at MF & Associates where she has made it her personal mission to build the capability and cyber maturity of organisations, and support the cyber skills of the future.
Laura received the AISA Cybersecurity Professional of the Year 2021 award which is a testament to her drive, skills and effort that she applies to all aspects of her life.
Ann Jensen
Ann has over 15 years’ experience in technology management, leadership and consulting in government and the private sector. She is passionate about transformation, uplifting capability and building organisational maturity.
She was the Chief Information Officer for the National Museum of Australian and has led multiple complex program, consulting and technology project teams in strategy, cyber security and planning and implementing new technologies.
Ann specialises in strategy, digital transformation, technology and cyber security. She has significant technology project and program management, delivery management, operations management, strategy and leadership experience.
Ann leads the Management Consulting practice at MF & Associates and has a strong focus on transformation, driving change and building maturity across organisations to deliver efficiencies and support product and service delivery.
Leanne Cowan
Leanne is a seasoned program manager with more than 20 years’ experience in multi-disciplinary government, health and not-for-profit environments. She has a proven ability to analyse situational complexities and develop effective solutions incorporating strategy, policy and procedures.
Leanne’s domain of expertise lies in change, project and program management. She brings a strong background in strategy development and implementation, business process improvements, operational analysis, solutions and development, and is passionate about enduring cultural change.
Leanne is a key pillar of the Management Consulting practice and drives continuous quality improvement and standards for all clients while delivering outcomes.
